Love Animals? Love People?
Have we got a career for you!
Prairie Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is a not-for profit organization that treats orphaned and injured wildlife in the province of Manitoba, with the goal of successfully releasing them back into the wild. We also take an active role in public education and are seeking a Wildlife Education Program Coordinator to join our team!
You will play a key role in planning, designing and marketing our educational wildlife presentations to schools and other groups to inspire interest in and support for Manitoba wildlife. These dynamic presentations include our ‘animal ambassadors’ – animals that cannot be released into the wild, and instead help us educate others – as well as ‘hands on’ activities. You will recruit, train and manage volunteer presenters, to ensure a strong level of coverage for our year-round presentations and educational booths, and play a lead role in growing our education program for the future. This position is currently part-time with a flexible schedule – we are looking for a person with an entrepreneurial flair to take it to the next level and grow it into a full time role.
