Today we received a call about this young fledgling from River Heights. From the description by the caller, the fledgling didn’t sound like it was doing well. We sent a volunteer to check out the situation and decided that it needed to come in to rehab. This is a young Cooper’s Hawk and was found to be dehydrated and very skinny. There was no sign of the parents and if we had left it there, it probably wouldn’t have made it. It has been given fluids and set up in a cage overnight.
