2017 Walk for Wildlife
Prairie Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is hosting the 5th annual Walk for Wildlife fundraiser on Saturday, September 23 at St. Vital Park. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and we would love to see you there!
All funds raised will go towards covering the costs of rehabilitation for the 1600+ wild animals that PWRC admits and cares for each year. The funds will also make it possible to operate on a continual basis and provide superior care to Manitoba’s injured and orphaned wildlife animals.
The morning will kick off with registration from 8:15-8:45am and a warm-up yoga session at 8:30am. At 9:00am, participants will start the 5 km walk/run or 10 km run. After completing the walk or run, participants will enjoy a hot pancake breakfast provided by The Original Pancake House and coffee supplied by Starbucks Coffee.
The PWRC team will be on-site with a few of the wildlife ambassador animals for people to meet and greet, including Arctic the fox!
To register for the walk, click here. Walk-ups are welcome, and participants will receive a free shirt. Participants are encouraged to collect pledges from family and friends with all funds going directly towards covering the cost of caring for the wildlife animals.
